Description:
This album marks an evolution for the band. From more classic rock and blues to straight blues/rock, Aaron Williams and the Hoodoo continue to make their mark on the blues scene with an appearance on the national charts at #44 during release week, a solid position in the Wisconsin top five, and two first-round Grammy nominations (Best Blues Album and Best New Artist). The album “10:49” is dedicated to the memory of Aaron’s father, “Cadillac” Joe Andersen, and the title cut is a poignant memory of Aaron’s last hours with his father. Fans who love New Orleans blues will recognize that sound in some of the cuts, and the band does a great cover of Fats Domino’s “Sick and Tired” to round out the CD. This is a great album that mixes traditional blues, contemporary blues, and rock.
