Three-time Grammy-nominated blues master Eric Bibb has unveiled the latest single from his forthcoming album, One Mississippi, set for a worldwide release on January 30, 2026 via Repute Records. Titled “If You’re Free,” the track underscores Bibb’s gift for pairing musical warmth with the warmth of his heart and a keen social conscience.
Written by Bibb and Glenvin Anthony Scott, “If You’re Free” is a meditation and, above all, a necessary exhortation: Bibb reflects on the everyday comforts we’ve grown accustomed to — food on the table, a roof overhead, water when we’re thirsty, heat when we’re cold — while drawing attention to the preventable suffering experienced by countless people worldwide.
“For those of us who take food, shelter and the comforts of modern life for granted, I hope this song will remind us that our well-being is often connected to the suffering of others. As such, it’s a call for change,” says Bibb.
