The North Mississippi Allstars are largely composed of the second generation of fine blues dynasties. Brothers Luther and Cody Dickenson are the sons of legendary producer and musician Jim Dickenson, and, at various times, sons of R.L. Burnside have graced the band, most notable Duwayne Burnside. The brothers, the heart of the band, have had great success playing their version of rock, steadfastly forged from genuine Hill Country Blues. This is the brothers playing a live hill country number; “Mean Ol’ Wind Died Down”, a recording of which was included on the Black Snake Moan soundtrack.
