We recently caught the towering talent that is Royal Southern Brotherhood playing at the Spirit of Kansas Blues Festival in Topeka, Kansas. It was a huge Fourth of July celebration, and the crowd braved 100+ degree temperatures to be blown away by the incredible blues talent at the free (!) event. After closing out the night with a powerhouse set, Devon Allman, Mike Zito, and Cyril Neville of RSB swung by the back porch to talk about the spiritual forces that led to their formation, the steps they took to craft the band, unique songwriting, and how they influence one another.

The Royal Southern Brotherhood has exploded on the scene, and with the incredible talent, stunningly tight sound of the five-piece band, and the drive and determination of every member to give every performance their amazing energy, it’s no surprise that RSB is successfully storming the music world. Their self-titled album is available through their official website, and is well-worth picking up.
