Janiva Magness holds her Blues Music AwardBlues Music Award-winning singer Janiva Magness has announced her latest project, Original, to be independently released on June 24th, 2014.  The album contains twelve original songs, eight of which co-written by Magness. The album is being produced by Dave Darling.

According to Magness, Original will be offered three different ways: the traditional album, the Custom Deluxe package, of which there are only 850, and the Custom Limited Deluxe Plus package, of which there are only 150. Both packages contain a copy of her out-of-print first 1991 recording, More Than Live, as well as a handwritten excerpt from the first draft of her upcoming memoir, and handwritten lyrics. The Plus package includes a personalized thank you video and a mention in the liner notes.
