On Saturday, November 26, The Baltimore Blues Society presents world class musicians the Linwood Taylor Band (with Sol Roots), and the Mikey Junior Band for a special holiday concert.

This special one-night-only concert event will feature the blazing and tasteful guitar stylings of Linwood Taylor and Sol Roots, who are both recognized as some of the east coast blues/soul top talents, as well as the powerful harmonica work of Philadelphia based Mikey Junior. The fantastic Linwood Taylor rhythm section includes master bassist Steve Wolf (of Danny Gatton, Tom Principato), and drummer extraordinaire Joe Wells (Tom Principato).

“Linwood Taylor has one of the most highly respected names in the blues community with touring credits across the United States and Europe. Linwood’s style is in the vein of Muddy Waters, Albert King and Hendrix, and his resume includes appearances with Albert Collins, Joe Louis Walker, Devon Allman, and Tommy Castro.”

“The fiery guitarist Sol Roots has toured the world with some of the biggest names in funk and blues… his influences span the country, and the globe.” Sol performs a unique blend of raw funk, deep blues, greasy soul, energetic rock, and hypnotic rhythms. Sol has shared the stage with acts such as Jon Cleary, Shemekia Copeland, New Orleans Suspects, Booker T Jones, Eric Lindell and more.

“Mikey Junior is exactly what blues needs today – talented, engaging and young… He bridges the gap between generations of music lovers and makes it cool to love something old-school, winning over audiences throughout the country with the sheer power, passion, and sincerity of his live show” – Blues Revue Magazine
