Kick your holiday gatherings up a notch with “Off the Rails” from 11 Guys Quartet. The guys unleash a high-energy instrumental built to move, driven by clean, cutting slide guitar lines and harp work that hits where it counts.
For the harmonica heads: this track captures Rosy’s first run with one of Will Wilde’s “Wilde-Tuned” harps, bringing a fresh set of notes into the mix.
Bill “The Coach” Mather (bass), Paul Lenart (guitar), Chuck Purro (drums), and Richard Rosenblatt (harmonica) have been making music together since the 1970s. As the core of the 11th Hour Band, they hit Boston in the early ‘80s with Hot Time In The City Tonight (1985, Tone-Cool Records), quickly building a loyal following. Over the years, their paths diverged, but the “11 Guys” always returned to each other.
Reunited in 2020, they released Small Blues and Grooves, an instrumental set that climbed international charts. During the pandemic, they embraced remote recording, crafting 11 new singles — each with a video conceived by The Coach. Those tracks became 2023’s 11 x 11, a crisp, inventive collection where decades of friendship and musical instinct speak for themselves.
