Yarn has announced their new album, Saturday Night Sermon, out April 24 via 333 Entertainment. True to its name, the record opens its doors wide: frontman Blake Christiana and the band expand their already full sound with horns, organ, and a gospel choir. With the soul of their live performances at the core, the songs layer textures that give them depth, played with the ease of a band honed by 17 years on the road.

Since forming in Brooklyn in 2007, Christiana has guided Yarn from a scrappy bar residency to a seasoned recording and touring outfit. Drummer Robert Bonhomme and bassist Rick Bugel have remained the backbone of the band alongside Christiana as Yarn has grown across more than 10 albums, building a listening experience that balances connection and scope.

“The band has officially found something really special over the past couple of years,” Christiana says. “It feels like we are finally the live band and album-producing band we always set out to be, and the message we are aiming to deliver has also found its foothold.”

Set squarely in a long-road headspace, “Never Enough” moves the way time feels after dark, after the show. The rhythm settles in as guitars trade lines, eventually rising into a solo that lets the weight of the lyrics sink in mile by mile. It’s the kind of track that keeps you company, carrying the persistent questions of the road as the miles stretch on.

Blake Christiana tells American Blues Scene:

‘Never Enough’ is a song about the human condition. Why, as a human, is it so hard to be satisfied?  I am so grateful for all the blessings in my life but I am still constantly chasing more.  It’s frustrating, but it also results in some really good times. So let’s keep chasing. We tracked this live at The Pinebox in Boonton, NJ.  Very few overdubs.

What you see here in this video is basically what wound up on the record. Andy Thomas is a master in the studio, his guitar work live during full band takes are so good, we almost always use them in the final mix.  This song being no exception.
