The 2026 Blues and Bayou Festival features the Sol Roots Trio, known for their dynamic fusion of New Orleans-inspired funk, deep blues, and soulful grooves, during an evening concert at the beautiful Virginia arts venue The Sedalia Center. Additionally, the local acoustic group Root 2 Music will open the event with their captivating blend of folk and country blues. The band has performed alongside artists like Jon Cleary, Cory Henry, Soulive, The Wood Brothers, Sonny Landreth, Roosevelt Collier, Eric Lindell, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Shemekia Copeland, Jackie Greene, and many more.

Driven by a profound respect for his musical influences and a love for Universal Music, Sol presents a unique and powerful voice, supported by a skilled group of musicians. The Sol Roots band is recognized as an official Home Grown Music Network artist and a “Next Generation” Music Maker Foundation artist.

Each year, SedaliaFEAST unites the community for an evening filled with delicious food, live music, and philanthropy. This year’s theme, Blues & Bayou, honors the rich sounds of blues, roots, and Bayou rhythms while generating essential funds to support The Sedalia Center and its mission to foster exploration in the Art of Living and the Living Arts.

Every ticket purchased helps sustain Sedalia’s growing arts programming, from a free Living Arts after-school program for children to an expanding lineup of creative classes and workshops for teens and adults.

The evening will begin with a variety of libations and a silent auction featuring items donated by local Virginia businesses and friends of The Sedalia Center. This year’s delicious feast includes slow-simmered bayou jambalaya, Louisiana rice, fire-grilled herb butter corn on the cob, and fresh garden salad.

Afterwards there will be an evening of showcasing live New Orleans influenced funk, deep blues, energetic rock and more, featuring the award winning Sol Roots band, and acoustic opener Root 2 Music. There will be delicious food, handcrafted drinks, a lively silent auction and door prizes, with wonderful company in one of Bedford County’s most beautiful settings.

Every ticket sold contributes to the sustainability of Sedalia’s expanding arts programs, including the free Living Arts after-school initiative.
