Johnny Winter Band, Edgar Winter Band, Rick Derringer, Leslie West of Mountain, and Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown to play The Westchester County Center, White Plains “Rock ‘N’ Blues Fest”. Tickets on Sale Saturday, March 31, 2012

The Johnny Winter Band, The Edgar Winter Band, Rick Derringer, Leslie West of Mountain, and Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown will play the Westchester County Center in the next event of the “Pepe Infiniti Concert Series” bringing premiere entertainment to White Plains and Westchester County. Tickets are available at the box office and Ticketmaster for $79.50 – $46.50. A limited number of “meet and greets” are available for $149.50. Show Time: 7:30 pm
“One of rock’s most influential blues revivalists — Johnny Winter’s guitar shimmers with confident energy throughout,” says The Wall Street Journal of Winter’s latest album. ”All of the tracks are Saturday night foot-stompers that conjure up the glassy clinks of long necks and ding-dings of barroom pinball machines. Winter shows yet again that wailing the blues effectively demands sizzling focus and a wagonload of knowledge.”

“Songs like his 1969 cover of “Highway 61 Revisited” are astonishing showpieces of his lightning fast thumb-picked electric slide playing,” writes Rolling Stone. “Jimi Hendrix sought him out as a sideman, and Muddy Waters recognized his talent at first glance, becoming a friend and collaborator. The evening at the Westchester County Center also features Edgar Winter, and Leslie West of trailblazing hard rock trio Mountain, along with rock-and-roll Mainstay Rick Derringer and Kim Simmonds of iconic British blues-rock outfit Savoy Brown.

Collectively, these five titans of rock have culled 4 Grammy Awards, 10 Grammy Nominations, 14 Billboard-charting songs, 18 Billboard-charting albums, 10 Gold albums, and 4 Platinum albums. Johnny, Edgar, and Leslie all played the original Woodstock in August of 1969.
