It was a standout night in Memphis on Thursday, May 9, as The Blues Foundation revealed the winners of the 46th Annual Blues Music Awards at the Renasant Convention Center.
Among the night’s top honorees were Ronnie Baker Brooks, who took home Contemporary Blues Album, Contemporary Blues Male Artist, and Song of the Year for “Blues in My DNA”; Sue Foley, who earned Acoustic Blues Album and Traditional Blues Female Artist; John Primer, awarded Traditional Blues Male Artist and Traditional Blues Album for Crawlin’ Kingsnake (with Bob Corritore); and Curtis Salgado, who swept both Soul Blues Male Artist and Soul Blues Album.
