Corey Henry & the Treme Funktet brought their confidence and character to Los Angeles last weekend, marking their GRAMMYs appearance with style. While Corey Henry & The Treme Funktet: Live at Vaughan’s (Louisiana Red Hot Records) didn’t take home a trophy, the band’s trip to Music’s Biggest Night reflected a broader moment of recognition.

“Although we didn’t secure the win this time, we’re grateful for the Recording Academy’s recognition and appreciate the unwavering support from everyone around us,” Henry shared. “We feel blessed to be surrounded by greatness.”

Beyond the ceremony itself, Henry and longtime Treme Funktet guitarist June Yamagishi made a fashion statement that caught the attention of the national style press. Henry landed on Esquire’s Best Dressed Men list at the 68th GRAMMY Awards, praised for his sharply tailored suit and signature rock-star shades.

Yamagishi was also spotlighted by GQ, which included him among its Best Dressed Stars in Red Carpet Menswear, calling his look “precisely the type of flex you want and expect from a 72-year-old Japanese blues guitar legend.”
