Chess Records is lauded by blues fans as the most prolific blues record label, and possibly the greatest independent record label to have ever existed. It’s array of artists included nearly every one of the most celebrated bluesmen to have lived, including Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Howlin’ Wolf, Etta James, Sonny Boy Williamson, and many others. Today’s video features three famous Chess artists, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, and Bo Diddley in a fantastic, slow-simmering version of “Goin Down Slow”.
