During Juke Joint Festival, we got the chance to speak with the wild voodoo piano master Lee Pons. Lee is a fascinating character, and probably the only person we’ll ever be able to ask about mentor Cab Calloway and time spent with Twisted Sister in the same interview! Lee reveals the surprising meaning behind the name of his soulful new piano blues album, Togged to the Bricks, his upbringing around some of the most famous Jazz cats on the planet, and what makes his rockin’ rollickin’ blues so powerful. Take a listen!
