The Missouri Blues Caravan! Three nights, three amazing MO Blues Clubs, three of the bluesiest cities in the state!
The Missouri Blues Caravan! Three nights, three amazing MO Blues Clubs, three of the bluesiest cities in the state!

(COLUMBIA, MO) Come see three of the very best blues bands that Missouri has to offer, in three of the coolest blues clubs, in three of the bluesiest towns in the state! The Mojo Roots, Jason Vivone and the Billy Bats, and The Bottoms Up Blues Gang are embarking on a three city-marathon tour April 25th, 26th, and 27th.

The Missouri Blues Caravan will begin at Knucklehead’s Saloon in Kansas City Thursday, the 25th, play Mojo’s in Columbia on Friday, August 26th, and B.B.’s Jazz Blues and Soups in Saint Louis on Saturday, April 27th. Each show featuring all three different bands will be a jam-packed Missouri blues explosion!

If you think there’s nothing new and exciting coming out of the blues genre, you haven’t heard The Mojo Roots! With performances that turn on a dime from a driving, hard-hitting shuffle to an aching, tear-dripping slow blues, the Mojo Roots brand of soul-soaked blues has been captivating audiences in their home state of Missouri and beyond for years!

The Bottoms Up Blues Gang is the St. Louis-based premier blues duo/gang, featuring vocalist Kari Liston, guitarist Jeremy Segel-Moss, and a gang of outstanding musicians. The BUBG has been performing over 200 shows per year together for almost a decade. In the last few years, the tour schedule has been spread out to include the entire country, focusing largely on New Orleans, Colorado, northern California and the New York Area. Every night is new with the BUBG depending on the arrangement! Horns, piano, extra guitars and vocalists are all possibilities with this exciting band!

“The Kansas City Blues Society is probably very happy to have Jason Vivone and The Billy Bats representing them. After all, these guys do stick to the dusty blueprints set down decades ago by the musical forebears they love and admire,” says Gary Weeks. “So they come out with their own independent release that sees them paying homage to the visionaries instrumental in their artistic vision of how the blues should be approached.” Jason Vivone and the Billy Bats have a stage show unlike any other! With an all-star lineup of musicians, funny, catchy, endearing songs, and Vivone’s ability to dazzle and wow the crowd, the Billy Bats have a live set that can’t be beat!

Join the Missouri Blues Caravan as they roll through some of the coolest blues clubs in Missouri for a three night stretch of some of the best blues music in the state, from April 25th through the 27th! From hard driving, high energy blues to deeply soulful ballads to up-jumped-the-devil New Orleans style backbeats, join these three powerhouse Missouri-based bands for a night you won’t forget!
