Award-winning band Piper & the Hard Times makes their visual debut with the video for “Good Company,” the title and lead track from their sophomore release. Written by bandleader/guitarist Steve “The Conductor” Eagon and vocalist Al “Piper” Green, the song was produced by Tres Sasser, engineered by Joe Costa, and recorded at the legendary Oceanway Studio A in Nashville, TN. The video, filmed and edited by Anana Kaye and Irakli Gabriel of Duende Vision, translates the song’s life-affirming message into vibrant visual storytelling.
The song ‘Good Company’ is a testament to the love, brotherhood, and sense of family our band, Piper & the Hard Times, has for each other. It’s also a life lesson about the importance of surrounding yourself with people who nurture your soul and your heart.
Featuring Piper (vocals), Eagon (guitar), Colella (drums), Amy “The Professor” Frederick (piano/organ), and Parker “Funkstick Porkchop” Hawkins (bass), “Good Company” carries the warmth of camaraderie and the edge of hard-earned musical chemistry, now vividly realized in the band’s first-ever music video.
Fresh off completing Good Company and watching their booking calendar fill, Piper & The Hard Times were riding a remarkable 15-month high—until June 4, 2025, when frontman Al “Piper” Green was diagnosed with cancer. More than just a band, they are a family, and the entire blues community has rallied to stand beside Piper in this fight. The outpouring of love from fans and fellow musicians has been immense. To give Piper the space to focus on healing, the band has scaled back touring. A benefit concert and GoFundMe have been organized to help ease the financial burden for Piper and his wife.
