bogalusa-blues-heritage-festival-2016Since 2012, The Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival has been bringing great music to Cassidy Park in Bogalusa, Louisiana, just a smidgen north of New Orleans. In fact, the festival was voted “Best New Event of 2012” by the Louisiana Association of Fairs & Festivals, and named Offbeat Magazine’s “Best Festival Outside New Orleans.”

Though a fairly young festival, BBHF has hosted superb lineups, and this year is no different. Samantha Fish, Tab Benoit, Voo Davis, Paul Thorn, and Danielle Nicole are among the many exciting artists scheduled to perform. In addition to music presented on two stages, there will be a host of other activities for guests to enjoy. For example, the Bogalusa Blues & Heritage Festival 5K Run will take place on Saturday, September 24, beginning at 8 a.m.

Of course there will be plenty of lip smacking food available, including a wealth seafood delights, Gumbo, Jambalaya, and favorites such as hamburgers, hotdogs, and ice cream. There will also be Arts and Crafts vendors displaying their incredible wares including hand-made soaps, hand crafted jewelry, copper and metal art, and even face painting.
