St. Petersburg, FL – There is nothing like being on the water, on a beautiful, Spring day. Warm sunshine, and a perfectly cooling breeze blowing in off Tampa Bay, only feet away. Then, the aroma of the wide variety of good food vendors are offering wafts its way towards you and you breathe it in as a smile covers your face. Life is good. Could anything be better than this you ask? Well yes, actually. What if you could enjoy a whole day of the best live blues artists playing just for you? Well then, welcome to the Tampa Blues Blues Festival!

Every year since 1995, The Tampa Bay Blues Festival has presented the best blues artists in the world playing to enthusiastic crowds in beautiful Vinoy Park, right on the waterfront. Previous performers have included Buddy Guy, George Thorogood, Taj Mahal, Robert Cray, Delbert McClinton, Little Feat, Jonny Lang, Los Lobos, Jerry Lee Lewis, Koko Taylor, Jimmie Vaughan, Irma Thomas, Susan Tedeschi, James Hunter, Walter Trout, Rod Piazza, Lucky Peterson, Tab Benoit, Janiva Magness, Nick Moss, Tutu Jones, Chris Cain, Billy Gibson, and many more.

Remember that proceeds from the event benefit our charity partner, Pinellas Association for Retarded Children (PARC).

For those that really want to immerse themselves in the blues experience, there are also After Shows on Friday and Saturday evenings at the historic Palladium Theater. This acoustically suave venue provides an intimate setting in which guests can really get lost in the music. Performers always offer CDs and will sign them for excited fans.

While you are in St. Petersburg, there are many art and glass galleries, craft shops, and restaurants to explore. Within a 40 minute ride on the Trolley visitors can be at Clearwater Beach, Pass-a-Grille, and many other attractions. There are also beaches at St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and Ft. DeSoto Beach, which is a park offering biking, kayaking, a doggy beach, and much more.
