Everyone looks forward to the annual Taste of Chicago event for many reasons, especially the great food, and exciting music.

The 37th Annual Taste of Chicago will be held in Grant Park, Wednesday, July 5th through Sunday, July 9th. This year’s event celebrates a different musical theme each day:

  • Wednesday, July 5th – R&B/Hip Hop Day
  • Thursday, July 6th – Latin Music Day
  • Friday, July 7th – Folk and Country Day
  • Saturday, July 8th – Rock the Taste!
  • Sunday, July 9th – Cornucopia of Music!

Music at Taste of Chicago 2017 will include scheduled performances by soul icons The O’Jays, Ben Harper, Alessia Cara, Twin Peaks, Passion Pit, and Café Tacuba, and even the “Hoochie Man” himself, Linsey Alexander.

Commissioner of the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events Mark Kelly is quoted in ChicagoNow as saying, “This year’s Taste of Chicago is a cultural event for all of your senses with uniquely-Chicago food and beverage experiences, street art, dancing and a phenomenal music lineup. We are especially excited to feature high caliber national artists along with top local musicians—as openers at the Petrillo Music Shell and throughout the day on the Bud Light Stage.”

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 5, at 10 a.m. here for the seating area at the Petrillo Music Shell. Remember that lawn seating, Bud Light Stage performances and admission to Taste of Chicago are free.
